At a glance…Public Health Informatics

Public health informatics is defined as the, “systematic application of information and computerscience and technology to public health practice,research and learning” (Yasnoff, 2001). This portfolio showcases the many facets of Public Health Informatics (PHI) ranging from the history of the field to discussions with today’s PHI leaders. The assignments featured in this portfolio illustrate the many ways in which information science and technology can be used to promote public health at all levels.
