Leaders

David Kline, PhD – Assistant Professor, Department of Biomedical Informatics, Center for Biostatistics

Dr. Kline’s research is focused on addressing problems in population health and epidemiology using biostatistical methodology and data science. He is particularly interested in using multivariate disease mapping techniques and Bayesian hierarchical models to address complex, difficult to measure social and epidemiological problems, like the opioid epidemic. His research aims to leverage multiple sources of data and prior expert knowledge to generate estimates that are useful to the public health community.

Sara Conroy, PhD – Research Scientist, Department of Biomedical Informatics, Center for Biostatistics

Dr. Conroy’s research focuses on epidemiologic methods and observational study design and analysis. Her dissertation research focused on a novel application of an established statistical model to better understand preterm birth. She is also interested in data visualization and communication of results to broad audiences.
