Vivian Phan | The Ohio State University
Hello!! My name is Vivian Phan and I am from Westerville, Ohio. I am an industrial design major at The Ohio State University. My passion for art and imaginative personality are some factors that drove me to the path of design. A path where I challenge my creative thinking skills as well as my problem-solving skills. In my spare time, I enjoy putting my creative energy towards other artistic means such as dancing, playing guitar, and the occasional digital editing which includes photography and videography.
My interest in design stems from the fact that it requires out-of-the-box thinking. The possibilities are endless, especially when it comes to innovation and creativity. I also have a deep interest in the health sciences. I would like to one day be able to use industrial design to make products that will contribute to helping patients enhance or improve their health, well-being, and overall quality of life through medical product development/design.
Through this program, I hope to learn more about the design process and how to create functional and aesthetic products. I hope to expand my perspective and enhance my critical thinking skills. I look forward to working alongside other design students as well.
