I will work hard every day to fulfill each one of my G.O.A.L.S, and I will do everything I can to prepare myself for a future career in the medical field. I will do as much volunteer work as I can, so that I can pursue my passion of helping people. I will be driven to study and learn in all of my classes so that I can gain a deeper level of knowledge and understanding of my major in biochemistry. I will continue my studies in Spanish so that I can one day be a fluent Spanish speaker. I will participate in clubs, organizations, and events associated with Ohio State to further become a part of the Buckeye community and culture. Most of all, I will be kind to everyone I meet and befriend during my time in college because kindness is one of the most important values in my life.

During my next two years at Ohio State, I will strive not only to do well in all my classes, but to gain knowledge and understanding on the topics discussed in my classes as it is my goal to pursue knowledge and academic enrichment throughout my life. I want to grow as a student and become a well-rounded person. I also hope to become a strong leader and to use my experience in college to prepare me for a future career. I want to improve my global awareness every day and be accepting of all people. I will continue to meet new people and make lasting friendships and memories that I will cherish even after my time at Ohio State is over.

In my ePortfolio, I will showcase who I am as a person, my values, my aspirations, and my life as a college student at The Ohio State University. My ePortfolio will describe my ideal future career and how I am working towards obtaining it and preparing for it through my classes and extracurriculars. This page will also provide links to important job-related files and media. Through my ePortfolio, I also hope to reflect on my time at Ohio State, my growth as a student, and all the amazing experiences I have had. My name is Halli Petillo, and I am from Niles, Ohio. I am a first year undergraduate student at The Ohio State University with an intended major in biochemistry and minor in Spanish. My future plan is to apply to medical school after I have earned my undergraduate degree. My career goal is to become a doctor, and although I am still undecided on what field of medicine I wish to practice, I have interests in both orthopedics and dermatology. In preparation for my future plan in the medical field, I am currently volunteering at the James Cancer Center on campus to gain experience in a hospital setting, as well as looking into joining the Pre-med Club! Outside of school, some of my interests include working out, playing soccer, and reading. I enjoy reading classical literature, and my favorite book of all time is Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell. I also love to travel, and I am very passionate about learning about the different cultures and people from the places I travel to. For this reason, I hope to study abroad one day and would really like to visit Spain!
