About Me

Hello! I am Nurse Lex Peabody. I am a wife to my wonderful husband and a dog mom to my Millie girl. I attended Ohio Wesleyan University where I studied sports science and education. After graduation I decided I wanted to pursue my dream of becoming a nurse so I decided to go to nursing school. I graduated from Marion Technical College in 2016 . I have been a nurse for 5 years and have loved every second of it.

I started my career at a behavioral health hospital where I worked as an aide. After graduation I applied for a nursing position there and landed my first job. This is where I found my first love of nursing, mental health. I learned so much about the importance of communication and trust within the patient-nursing relationship.

After 3 years at the behavioral health hospital I decided to change career paths to neurology. I became a nurse on a intermediate care neurology floor, which I loved. I learned more than I could have imagined about trauma care, brain injuries, spinal surgeries, and so much more. I will forever be grateful for all I learned during those years along with the amazing doctors and coworkers I had.

I am now a school nurse at Columbus City Schools at two elementary schools. While it has been a wild ride with the pandemic, I have loved every second of it. I cannot wait to continue my journey as a school nurse and am excited for what the future holds.
