Product Description:
This product was designed to allow users to use two tools at one time. More specifically, it secures a pot/pan in place to allow the user to use a stirring utensil without having to worry about the pot/pan sliding around. The prototype was made of cardboard tubes and tape. The “suction cup” was created by spreading out cardboard pieces and using tape. To set up the device, the suction cup was secured to the stove and the attachment piece was lowered to the height of the pot (the black line shows the separation of the two pieces for adjusting height). The prototype simulated a securing mechanism at the rim of the pot using a slot in the cardboard tubing. The use and effectiveness video shows that the device somewhat restricted the movement of the pot and would be more effective if there were two devices that were created with sturdier materials.
