In pre R&D lab 4, the team subjected the AEV to various motor tests to ascertain the quality of performance, and gain an understanding of the coding process. In the test, the AEV yielded almost perfect adherence to the commands given by the code (the results are visualized in the Lab 4 test run 1 Power vs. Time plot). At approximately 3.11 seconds, the power (in watts) generated by the AEV spikes 40% due to a considerable acceleration command that the team decided to implement. After time runs on, the code instructed the AEV to steadily decelerate at 2.5 second intervals. In summation, the first preliminary test run for the motors of the AEV was more than satisfactory.
