To tackle this project, Team G began with obtaining an understanding of the components of the Advanced Electric Vehicle (AEV). Exercises were performed to get a better grasp of coding, the motor usage, and design processes depicted by the Scoring and Screening Matrices. After these Preliminary Tasks, Team G chose a design from the Preliminary stage and performed Advanced Research and Design tasks such as Motor Configuration and comparing Power Braking to Coasting methods. From this stage, a near final design was set forth to begin the Performance Testing phases. Each Performance Test was a progression of reaching the final Performance Test that would run the full length of the track.
