Academic Biography: I’m studying Materials Science & Engineering — at the interface of condensed matter physics, solid-state chemistry, and engineering. I like to look at the big problems in engineering and physics, reasoning from theory & first-principles, and proceed from there. I’m particularly interested in novel emergent materials, including magnetically photo-switchable spintronics. A good metric of a successful ‘theory’ is one that not only predicts data, but where to look for it.
