Clicking on the link below will take you to the add-on packet for this year. Due dates and payments will be strictly adhered to so make sure all forms and payments are in on time. If you have looked at a previous version of this packet, you may have noticed that Goats were listed as selling last. This has been updated to reflect that Goats will be selling first this year.

Paulding County Drug Use Notification Form (DUNF)
The 2025 Paulding County Fair is less than 1 week away. We have a lot going on this time of the year and need to be sure that this very important task is added to the list. An e-mail will be sent to all 4-H members who are registered to bring an animal to the fair with information regarding the Drug Use Notification Form (DUNF). As a reminder, the Paulding County Fairboards require that all animals that are on the fairgrounds, minus dogs, must have a DUNF complete prior to the arrival of the animals on the fairgrounds. For those who have completed a DUNF in the past, nothing has changed.
- What is a DUNF?
- The DUNF is a legal document that is required to be completed by ODA for market animals. The Paulding County Fairboards require that it is completed for all animals that will be staying at our fair. This form is used by exhibitors to indicate if medication is currently in an animal’s system that it has not been withdrawn from. Rules state that all market animals must be free of medication before they can be exhibited at a fair.
- Do I need a DUNF for every animal that I am bringing to the fair?
- Yes. All animals must have a separate DUNF.
- What do I need to have so I can fill out a DUNF?
- The link, which can be found below.
- First Name of Exhibitor
- Last Name of Exhibitor
- Address of Exhibitor
- E-mail address of Exhibitor or Parent
- Phone Number of Exhibitor or Parent
- Current Age of Exhibitor
- Identification Number
- Full 840 number for market animals that have a tag in the ear
- Scrapie Tag or tattoo number for all exhibition/breeding goats and sheep
- Tag number for all rabbits
- Use Names for Horses
- Species of your animal
- Breed, sex, and color of the animal
- Is your animal free of medication?
- As stated above, all market animals should be free of medication. This means the withdrawl period has passed for any medication you may have given your animal. You will only check No if there is a medication that the withdrawl has not passed. If this is the case, you will need to complete questions about the medication.
- Signature of Exhibitor
- Signature of Parent/Guardian (unless the exhibitor is 18 or older)
- I completed the DUNF, what do I need to bring for proof?
- You will not need to bring anything. We have the ability to look up your DUNF information since it is done online.
- What if I gave medication but do not want to list it?
- Lying on a DUNF form is a felony in the State of Ohio. Exhibitors and/or Parents/Guardians may be fined, jailed, or both as well as banned from exhibition in the future.
- When should I complete my DUNF(s)
- Best practice is for you to complete your DUNF the morning of move-in but before you arrive to the fairground. The DUNF is open now so it can be done any time before you arrive with your animal(s).

Ohio Spot Breeders Donor Gilt Program
The Ohio Spot Breeders, in order to promote the advancement of the breed, will give up to five 4-H or FFA members a Spotted Gilt. Recipients of donor gilts must show the gilt at the 2025 Ohio State Fair in the Donor Gilt class and in the Junior Spot Show. Recipients must carry the gilt as a breeding project in their organization. Recipients must also breed the gilt to a registered Spot boar for the first breeding and farrow at least one litter of purebred spots. This litter is to be registered with the National Spotted Swine Record with the Certified Purebred Swine Association. The Ohio Spot Breeders will try to assist any of the recipients with breeding, either by providing semen or breeding service when possible. If the student does not fulfill the contract, they will pay the donor $250.
To qualify for a donor gilt, an applicant must submit an application. The student must be in 4-H or FFA and carry the appropriate project through their local county. 4-H members must carry the Swine Breeding Project #140. The application must be filled out completely, contain pictures of where the gilt will be kept, and submit an essay on the topic “Why I want to own a Spot Gilt.” Applications must be signed by the student, parent, and an advisor.
All applications must be received by April 15th. Applications will be judged and the donor or a representative from the Ohio Spot Breeders will contact each possible winner. All gilts must be picked up by May 1st. It is the responsibility of the student to pick the gilt up at the donor’s farm.
Donor gilts will be eligible to show in the donor gilt class and the junior show at the Ohio State Fair. Any offspring of the original donor gilt will be eligible to show in the donor gilt class the following year.
Recipients will receive a free membership to the Ohio Spot Breeders and the National Spotted Swine Record (junior membership).
