Reminder of Club Meeting Attendance

This is a reminder that 4-H clubs in Paulding County have a minimum number of meetings that you must be at in order to be a member in good standing with that club and 4-H in Paulding County.  Ohio 4-H dictates that youth must actively participate in 6 hours of programming in order to be considered a 4-H member in good standing.  The Paulding County Junior Fair rules state that, in order to be eligible to participate at the fair, a fair participant must be a member in good standing in the youth organization they represent.  We also have some clubs that have set the minimum number of meetings that members must attend in order to stay eligible.

All 4-H advisors have been advised of these rules and regulations.  They are asked by the 4-H office to confirm that minimum standards of time have been met for each youth who participate in 4-H.  Those that do not have enough hours in to be a member in good standing will not be eligible to show or participate at the Paulding County Junior Fair or the Ohio State Fair.  Our clubs have all been meeting since late fall (all of the clubs started meetings in October or November), and have been meeting regularly since.  The 4-H Office will be going by club attendance records and the information that is submitted by the club advisors.  If you are not sure of your attendance, ask at the next club meeting.
