One Week Left to Register for 4-H

The deadline for 4-H enrollment in Paulding County is Friday, January 4th, 2019.  Youth wishing to complete a 4-H project for the 2019 Paulding County Fair or Ohio State Fair must be enrolled in 4-H by this deadline.  Enrollments after this deadline will be accepted but youth will not be eligible to compete at either the Paulding County Fair or the Ohio State Fair.  Enrollments are completed online and can be done by visiting oh.4honline.com.  If you have been a part of 4-H in Paulding County in the past 5 years, your family has a profile in the system and you will need to log into that profile to complete your registration.  Duplicates in the system keep us from having accurate records and also makes your family’s 4-H history inaccurate.  If this is your first year in   4-H or you have not been active in 4-H the past 5 years you will need to create a profile.  4-H members who were previously active in another county but have moved into Paulding County must contact the Extension Office in order to have your records transferred to Paulding County.

For help with enrollment, retrieving the correct e-mail address for log-in, or password issues please contact the Paulding County Extension Office at 419-399-8225 and we will be happy to assist you.

New Projects for 2019

Every year, Ohio 4-H works to update old project books as well as create new projects.  The list below highlights the new and revised projects for 2019.  I have linked each of these projects to their description in Project Central to make it easy for you to explore.  Some of the projects listed below do not have a previewable project book as they are brand new books and have not been loaded into the Project Central database.  You are able to read the project description of all the projects though.  If one of the project books you are interested in is not available for preview I would encourage you to check back as they will be made available soon.

Trying to figure out which 4-H project is right for you?

Did you know that Ohio 4-H has developed a website that will help with finding a project that meets your interest area?  Project Central is an easy way for 4-H members to preview Ohio 4-H project books and resources.  You are able to take a closer look at a book, find out what others have to say, and share your experiences with a completed project on this site.  You are able to search for projects by title, skill level, or topic area.  What I like best about this site is that you are able to look at quite a few pages of every 4-H project to see if the project is right for you before you order a book.  If you are interested in checking out this site, and I highly encourage it, click on the link below and you will be taken to the 4-H Project Central page.

Do you have your project books for 2019?

Project books for the 2019 4-H year continue to be ordered on a weekly basis.  If you have not completed your order form and turned it into your club advisor you will want to do that as soon as possible.  As most counties start their 4-H year in January, books will start to take longer to be received in our office.  If your advisor has not given you a book order form you can click on the link below to download and print your order.  You can then turn it in and we will get the books ordered for you.  If you are not sure what books you will need or you need help with completing your order please contact us at 419-399-8225 and we will be happy to assist you.
