My goal in this final project, was to communicate who I am as an artist and my recent interest of the human figure in art. As an artist I firmly believe that the best investment of time, money, and love are the people in our lives. My goal is to express this belief visually through different constructs.
This course has given me new tools in how to market myself as an artist. Through learning photoshop, and iMovie, along with other tools, I have learned a great deal about digital art. This course not only taught me how to create digital work, but also to consider what the work I create communicates about me as artist. Now when I edit images, or produce some sort of film, I find myself considering what aspects of my identity as an artist are communicated. Simple edits in the color, exposure, shadow, or composition in a photograph can change the mood and message drastically.
In considering what would this class could include moving forward I find it hard to offer much advice. The only thing I would have enjoyed was spending more time in iMovie. I think learning how to create an identity through a wordpress website was a fantastic structure to learn photoshop, iMovie, and some graphic design.
