Exercise:

– In this exercise, we were given different templates with dots for us to connect and create shapes.
– And then we were asked to create our own to practice using the pen tool on illustrator.

– Then Zach taught us how to draw letters with extension in order to create a 3rd dimensional look, so that we can use those techniques for the final project.
Research:

– These are the three word mashups I came up with for me to pick from for the final one.
Iterations:

– I decided to work with the word “Centerk”. But it just didn’t feel right, and I didn’t want to play with the friends theme for this project. So I decided to work on the Ohitate word.

– Ohitate – Ohio state visuals fan
– I submitted my final design as this word. But because I wasn’t able to make to class around the time of this project, I had to learn online which didn’t help me with the progress.
– After reading the rubric and comments from Zach, I decided to try something else and re-do the project.
– So I started working on the word “Dresign”.

– DRESIGN (DESIGN + DREAMS)= SOMEONE WHO DESIGNS THEIR OWN DREAMS.
– I started by choosing a font and then extrude it to seen how I like it.
– I then started working on picking a color for my design.
– Adding things I dream about was really important to me, so I added buildings, because I really like watching city skylines. And then I added colored shapes, a house silhouette and design materials like knife, glue and bristol.
– I used isometric grid to make give them an isometric tilt on y and x values.
