About Me

Katherine Pastor is a freshman at The Ohio State University studying exercise science with a minor in general psychology. She hopes to continue her educational career after receiving her bachelors degree by obtaining her Doctorate of Physical Therapy through a graduate program. She chose this career path because she loves the idea of working hands on with other people to help them recover from injuries. She is also dedicated to making her school community a better place. In high school, she was a member of student council and National Honor Society. She is continuing this passion by being a member of The Boo Radley Society, which is a club dedicated to random acts of kindness. She looks forward to growing as a person socially, academically, and professionally throughout her college career.

Year in Review

Although my freshman year was not like a typical year, I was still able to learn a lot through my coursework and personally. I was able to determine the best study methods that suit me and how much I need to study for certain classes. I will be able to apply my new study habits throughout the course of my college career. I also determined that I still want to continue with my major of exercise science, and I declared a minor in general psychology. I learned this by attending professional and education events put on by the OSU Pre-PT and Pre-OT club, and the Dine With the Department HSS events. This year confirmed that I want to be in the STEM field.  Personally I learned a lot through my involvement in the student organization, The Boo Radley Society. This club is dedicated to random acts of kindness. I learned how much a difference small acts of kindness can make in someone’s day and how that can impact the environment around us. Next school year, I plan to continue my involvement in the OSU Pre-PT and Pre-OT club and The Boo Radley Society.
