G.O.A.L.S.

  • Global Awareness: Students cultivate and develop their appreciation for diversity and each individual’s unique differences. For example, consider course work, study abroad, involvement in cultural organizations or activities, etc.
  • Original Inquiry: Honors & Scholars students understand the research process by engaging in experiences ranging from in-class scholarly endeavors to creative inquiry projects to independent experiences with top researchers across campus and in the global community. [Artifacts are the items you consider to be representative of your academic interests and achievements. About Me

Sarah Park is from Strongsville, Ohio, and is a freshman at The Ohio State University. She is majoring in Psychology along the pre-medicine track, and is a first year member of the Health Sciences Scholars program. She attended Strongsville High School, and played the violin in 2 school orchestras. Sarah was also involved in various clubs and organizations such as Key Club, National Honors Society, Spanish Honors Society, Science Club, and Medical Careers Club. She had volunteered at Southwest General Hospital for 1 year, as well as volunteered within various school events and on her church praise team as a keyboardist. Her interest in a medical career began when she traveled to Iquitos, Peru prior to her freshman year of high school, and aided in setting up clinics for women in prisons and villagers. Now, Sarah aims to graduate with a BS in Psychology and attend medical school to ultimately become a pediatrician who can serve abroad and once again help children in third world countries.
