GOALS

Global Awareness

I currently am taking Spanish classes and pursuing a Spanish double major. Within the major there are different electives to choose from that help study different Spanish cultures more closely. I plan on studying abroad in Spain spring semester of my second year and hope to take advantage of all opportunities to learn about different cultures.

Original Inquiry

In my high school AP biology class I was fascinated during our brief unit on cancer. I would be an amazing opportunity to combine my interest in this with my major, data analytics, to work on doing data analysis for a group researching cancer, such as Pelotonia.

Academic Enrichment

I challenge myself in the academic work that chose, such as taking Honors General Chemistry I when I am not majoring in anything related to Chemistry. I also can take rigorous and interesting course outside of my major area to width the breadth of the degree I will receive.

Leadership development

I can development leadership skills in Athletic Band within my section. Currently out of the seven people in my section, only two of then are returning members of athletic band and they are both seniors. In the future their role of teaching the newcomers the ways of athletic band will need to be taken up by someone else, such as me.

Service Enrichment

I currently am slightly involved with the Newman center on campus. In the future I would love to become more involved there and participate in such things as service trips and the organization of Catholic Relief Services there. Working with this group will help be fulfill the Jesuit values of service that were instilled in me in high school.
