About Me

Hello, my name is Hannah Paquette! I am a first year pursuing a Psychology major with a career goal involving the LGBTQ+ community and sexual assault victims. I am in the Humanitarian Engineering Scholars Program. I am very interested in how the human body and mind work and function. In addition to my academic and career interests, I am a very active person. I love to run, swim, play basketball with friends, and work out. I really enjoy being outside while I study and listen to music.

Outside of the classroom, I am currently working at EspressOH in the Ohio Union. I volunteer with various groups and organizations doing activities such as weeding and gardening, helping the elderly perform tasks they are not capable of doing themselves, and helping to work children’s school events. I am also a member of A Moment of Magic at Ohio State, a club that brings happiness and joy to children that have disabilities or medical vulnerabilities with hospital visits and fundraisers.

My top five strengths based on a VIA character strength assessment are kindness, social intelligence, honesty, curiosity, and teamwork. I connect to kindness as a strength as I care deeply for other people and it is very important to me to show kindness to others to the best of my ability. I also connect to social intelligence because of my compassion for other people that allows me to socially connect with and understand others. I connect with honesty because being honest is a major part of my morals. Curiosity connects to me as I am always eager to learn and know more about the world around me. Lastly, I connect to teamwork because of the enjoyment I get from working together with others to accomplish great things.
