Finals Week

Hell week–

Finals week is here! (boooo)

Finals week is undoubtedly the most stressful week of the semester. With each class coming to an end, borderline grades, and LOTS and LOTS of assignments and studying to do– this week is absolute hell.

It is important to remember to put in the work you need, but not to overload yourself. Keep organized, use post-it and sticky notes to mark work you need done or need more practice with, and keep up with assignments.

Remember to take breaks, see friends, and talk to family if you’re feeling overwhelmed.

It is a hard week, but remember you’re not alone! Everyone is feeling anxious and stressed over finals, but it is important to remember that the week will end and everything will be ok. I promise!!

Happy studying and good luck on finals!

Reflection

My thoughts–

This class has taught me so much useful information that I can utilize from here on out. Not only in school, but in a future job, internship, etc.

I really liked learning more about the struggles people who are online classes face. I have taken many, and can relate to these people in the sense that it is not as easy as it seems! But with that being said, it is important to know I have completely changed my outlook on on online classes after this course.

-It know it does not mean that because it’s an online class that it will be easy. There may even be more work than other classes!

-You have to set up times every week to check up on assignments and make sure that you are meeting due dates.

-Interacting with classmates and asking questions is a great way to get another perspective on a specific assignment.

And lastly, put in the work! Online classes are there for our convince, so it is important we do not take advantage of the fact it’s online.

Happy holidays everyone!

Technology

Technology has impacted us as a society in so many positive ways.

We use it in almost everything we do, especially when it comes to jobs. For social media marketing, it is important you are up to the standards of todays society. For example, to appropriately reach whoever your directed audience is, you have to have a sense into what they like or are interested in. This takes research and time, but will overall improve your business.

Utilizing excel, google docs, or anything that can keep you connected and organized will help immensely.

Excel can incredibly help keep things organized in a simple way. Instead of inputing everything, you utilize formulas to help increase productivity.

Google docs is used to share and create documents, powerpoint, etc.

Learning Space

Learning space is super important to the quality and success of an individual. Learning space can be anything from a desk in your room to your own space in an office. Either or, the set up, organization, and area you are in can negatively or positively affect the way you work. Some important things to keep in mind are:

-The organization of your area. Walking into a messy room with clutter all over your desk sets a bad mood right away. No one feels determined while their surroundings are a mess. It is important to keep this space organized, whether that means investing in shelves, decluttering the area, or having a clean out day. Try to organize yourself before you start your day to better ensure success.

Lighting of the area. If you walk into a dark and gloomy room, motivation will immediately decrease. Opening the blinds, turning on the lights and lamps, or even opening a window can increase your mood and the drive you have to complete todays day to the best of your ability.

Distractions. This can include, television, your cell phone, and even your computer. It is very hard to focus on work while there are so many distractions in hand. I would recommend being in a space without a television, putting your phone on do not disturb or off, and making sure the only online browsers you have open on your computer are ones needed for work. It is easy when the internet is right there, so it is important to have enough discipline to focus on your work.

Online classes, Work, and Organization

As I’ve learned, online classes can be a struggle. We tend to assume since it’s online, that it’ll be easy and not a-lot of work .his can be said for the internet in general. Sometimes it is easy to slack off when all your work is online. Whether it is for a job or school, not preparing is setting yourself up for failure. Here are some of my tips for a successful online journey:

-Setting notification up on your device to remind you of important dates

-Take at least 30 mins out of everyday to sit down and review your grades, upcoming assignments, or work week

-Make a to-do list every Sunday to set goals for your upcoming week; can even do this daily

Remember,  doing something you feel you didn’t excel does not mean you’re a failure. Just utilize these organization tips in your everyday routine and you’ll be on the path to success.
