Year in Review

[ “Year in Review”  is where you should reflect on the past year and show how you have evolved as a person and as a student.  You may want to focus on your growth in a particular area (as a leader, scholar, researcher, etc.) or you may want to talk about your overall experience over the past year.  For more guidance on using your ePortfolio, including questions and prompts that will help you get started, please visit the Honors & Scholars ePortfolio course in Carmen. Artifacts

[Artifacts are the items you consider to be representative of your academic interests and achievements. For each entry, include both an artifact and a detailed annotation.  An annotation includes both a description of the artifact and a reflection on why it is important to you, what you learned, and what it means for your next steps.  For more guidance on using your ePortfolio, including questions and prompts that will help you get started, please visit the Honors & Scholars ePortfolio course in Carmen. About Me

My name is Kelsey Palmer and I am a second year here at The Ohio State University. I am currently majoring in neuroscience with the intent of pursuing a medical career. I am also fortunate to be a member of the Health Sciences scholars program. My future desires are to utilize my education in the medical profession to help children in need. I would like to use my skills and knowledge I gain through my education to travel the world and help those less fortunate with a focus on third world countries. Even though I am very dedicated to my education, I also love to be active. I enjoy playing both volleyball and golf in my spare time. I also like doing outdoor activities such as hiking and skydiving. In high school I was very involved in extracurriculars that included: National Honors Society, Red Cross Club, International Club and Key Club. When not at school or enjoying the outdoors I love to spend my time with my family especially my three beautiful nieces. Being an Aunt has been a great experience and a large reason why I would like to focus on helping children.
