I’m Dylan Lee Page, the proud son of a police officer and nurse and grandson of a Teamster. I am a dual major in Political Science in the College of Arts and Sciences and Public Policy Analysis in the John Glenn College of Public Affairs, minoring in Economics. I am active in the Honors program and Ohio State Democrats. Over the summer, I worked with the Ohio Democratic Party in their Summer of Action Fellowship, working to create infrastructure, recruit candidates, and train volunteers for the 2019 and, most importantly, 2020 elections. I now continue to work part-time for the state party in a liaison position, working with the engagement team on fellowship continuation and Bill DeMora, Ohio Democratic Party Secretary, as an assistant. My academic focus is in political responsiveness, educational reform, voting rights, and depolarization.
This spring I hope to join an educational reform think tank in an internship position to further my understanding and experience in the intersectionality of education and public policy. This is one of the reasons I became a dual major during this previous semester. I wanted to have the best abilities when I leave Ohio State to create real, positive change in the lives of Americans. Moving forward, this spring will surely be an awesome but busy semester. This week has been delegate caucus preparation at the ODP. We hit an all time record for the number of individuals caucusing for their respective candidates, over 3,000! I have been assisting Bill DeMora and Todd Rensi in creating the infrastructure for the caucuses for Tuesday, January 7th, 2020 where we will have nearly 10,000 ballots being cast for candidate delegates.
I look for to the great successes we have in store for this year and this semester!
