What a year! My first year at Ohio State had many challenges but great triumphs. From connections I made helping with the 2018 Democratic Coordinated Campaign, I was able to get a fellowship with the Ohio Democratic Party. During the fellowship, we worked on voter reengagement targets, connecting with disengaged voters and discussing what issues mattered to them. Through this work, we were also able to work with many of the local candidates running for office in 2019 throughout the state.
During the fellowship, we:
–had over 12,000 points of contact
–registered over 2,000 voters
–built infrastructure for 2019 and 2020
–created a grassroots base for organizing and activism
