Kareem Abdul Jabbar tickets for people who leave their opinion

Dear Wooster Internationals, I have obtained 40 tickets to the talk in a conversational format of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, a leading voice on today’s cultural and political topics and the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.  In the Scot Center’s Timken Gymnasium (1267 Beall Ave.) at The College of Wooster on Tuesday, Sept. 19, at 7:30 p.m.

To get one free ticket (while supplies last):  Go to my website www.go.osu.edu/WoosterInternational and leave a comment about your experiences in America (click on the ‘leave a comment’ link).

  1. I believe it is true that diversity in the USA is huge. It is truly remarkable to walk in Columbus campus and see so many nationalities, listen to so many languages, and my favorite in the USA I can eat food from around the World.

It is not true that the USA is a super wealthy country where poverty is not seen, I tell my people in my country that poverty does exist in the USA but they think it is not true because they have only seen rich Americans in their lives.

    • Thanks for your insight. I left a ticket with your name on it, and 2 blank tickets in my mailbox in the mail room of Thorne Hall (Entomology) that you can pick up weekdays 8-5 pm.

  2. It is true life is in some ways easier here. There are a lot of services available, but public transportation.
What is not true is the image we get from americans in the movies, being superficial people. I have found very smart and caring people here, involved in the community and ready to help when someone needs it.

  3. I have not been out of the US except for when I went to St. Lucia. I was on vacation and did not have much extra money but because I was from the US, everyone thought I was rich. It bothered me because I knew that I couldn’t afford the trip without my tax return refund. I was not rich in the US, just better off in St. Lucia.
