Solution

To combat the issue of sustainable acquisition of used attire, our team proposes the creation of OSUsed, an app that allows Ohio State students, faculty and alumni in the Columbus area to engage in purchasing and selling used attire, allowing these items to escape the feedback loop to landfills. The mobile application would operate in according to the tastes and preferences unique to each and every user. Upon registration, users would be asked to answer questions regarding what they are selling or looking for, including but not limited to personal budget, brands, sizes, color and style. Based off the user inputs, the app would generate item matches for the user on the OSUsed market. With such a simple supply chain operational structure, the next step would include options such as dropping off, picking up, shipping to and having shipped from an OSUsed facility.
