Exchange Facilities

A place for both the seller to drop off their items and the customer to come and pick them up while maintaining security is crucial for gaining the trust of the users and establishing a smooth exchange system.

In order to achieve this, an electronic locker system will be purchased with 30 individual lockers within the system. This system utilizes a kiosk that allows for the seller to create a passcode for an individual locker and provide their customers with the code so that they are the only ones with access to the items.  To ensure a hassle-free environment, a customer service representative will be posted by the lockers during business hours on weekdays to help both sellers and buyers deliver or obtain their items should they need it.

Another aspect to the exchange facilities is to create a vibrant and eye-catching sign to establish a designated area for the exchange to occur and to attract new users.  Since the lockers will be located in the Ohio Union at The Ohio State University, there are so many students and faculty that will see this sign and therefore interest even more of the community.

This will also require a rental permit to use a space within the Ohio Union.

The installation of a secure, yet attractive location for sellers and buyers to exchange their items will provide OSUsed with a great chance to reach a large proportion of the surrounding Buckeye and Columbus community.
