Just like any other workplace politics are a major part of the academic landscape. Your success as you move into a faculty position could depend on how well you can navigate the sometimes rough waters of academic politics. This presentation will focus on how to consider the politics associated with applying for a faculty position, starting a new position or when you pursue promotion and tenure. Specific skills and approaches that will help you to survive and thrive in academic politics will be presented for all of these career steps.
