TEAM-UPS: Tactical Exposure Assessment Metrics – Utilizing Physiologic Signatures

 

Goal: To maximize our understanding of warfighter performance and injury risk in training and in combat environments

Brain Connectivity Maladaptions Following Knee Surgery: BrainKnee

 

Goal: Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury is a significant and debilitating injury for young active individuals. ACL injury and associated ACL reconstruction (ACLR) cost the United States healthcare system $1.2 billion annually. Despite the significant financial investment and substantial time in rehabilitation, poor outcomes are apparent for a substantial portion of young, active individuals with ACLR. This longitudinal and prospective study will provide critical knowledge needed to inform future personalized clinical rehabilitation trials with a focus on the brain and knee connection.

Goal: To determine the effects of sports participation and concussion history on postural control across the lifespan.

Understanding Law Enforcement Equipment Organization

 

Goal: To understand what equipment is being carried, how that equipment is carried, and to identify comfort and usability issues related to equipment carriage for law enforcement officers

Goal: To investigate the interaction between multiple health domains for first responders for the development of improved training, wellness, and healthcare initiatives.
