Research Interests
Cambrie’s research interests include injury prevention, lower extremity musculoskeletal injuries, and functional pre-participation examinations. Specifically, she is interested in exploring if incorporating performance based tests designed to evaluate deficits in movement control will help identify athletes with increased predisposition for lower extremity musculoskeletal injury.

Research Interests
Dustin is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Athletic Training in the School of Applied Health Sciences and Wellness at Ohio University. Dustin received his doctorate from the Ohio State University in health and rehabilitation sciences, with a focus on neuroscience and biomechanics. His dissertation was titled “Neuroplastic and Neuromuscular Effects of Knee Anterior Crucicate Ligament Injury“.  Prior to pursuing doctoral studies, Dustin was an assistant athletic trainer and instructor at the College of Mount Saint Joseph in Cincinnati Ohio, completed a master’s degree from the University of Virginia in kinesiology and bachelor’s degree from Northern Kentucky University in Athletic Training.   His main research interest is how the brain and movement mechanics change after musculoskeletal injury and therapy.

Research Interests
Eric’s research at Ohio State was focused on motor learning, injury prevention, tackling in football, and concussions.  His dissertation was titled “Assessment, Feedback and Head Accelerations in Youth American Football”.  Eric is currently an Assistant Professor at Old Dominion University.

Research Interests
Dan is a research associate in the Injury Prevention Research Laboratory within the Consortium for Health and Military Performance (CHAMP) at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. His research focus is in injury epidemiology and advanced analytical approaches to injury prevention in military and civilian populations. Dan received his doctoral degree at The Ohio State University in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences with an emphasis in data analytics and injury epidemiology. His dissertation was titled “Functional Contributions to Lower Extremity Musculoskeletal Injury in High School Soccer and Basketball Athletes.” Prior to beginning his doctoral degree Dan was an instructor and athletic trainer at University of Charleston in West Virginia. Dan completed his master’s degree in athletic training at University of Virginia and his bachelor’s degree in athletic training at Ithaca College.

Research Interests
Mike is involved in multiple projects with a variety of athletes and clinical populations with a range of orthopaedic and neurological conditions. His PhD work is currently focusing on the biomechanics of baseball pitching and the role of functional ability, particularly with respect to the core and lower extremities, for the optimization of performance while reducing pain and injury risk. Mike is currently a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, American Society of Biomechanics, and National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Research Interests
Chris’s primary research interests include human performance programs, preventive medicine, diagnostic procedures, and medical screening protocols within the military. As a Marine veteran of ten years, this is an area of study that he has personally experienced as a participant.

Matt’s primary research interests include vestibular assessment and management of concussions and work with the deaf and hard of hearing population.

Maria’s research interests include relationships between functional and cognitive performance under single- and dual-task paradigms, movement patterns of functional performance across active populations, neuromechanics of functional performance pre- and post-injury, and the functional, cognitive and neuromuscular implications of head impact injuries.

Julie’s primary area of research is in the development and evaluation of assistive and pervasive technology-based interventions to address health span and quality of life in neurodegenerative populations with a specific interested in Alzheimer’s and sleep focused interventions. Julie is interested in developing intervention protocols that can be effectively implemented to those at risk of disease development and differing stages of progression.
