Highland County 4-H and FFA members,
Due to COVID-19 Quality Assurance (QA) options and requirements have been modified. With the most recent changes we have moved the deadline to complete Quality Assurance to August 1st, 2020. If you are wishing to exhibit at the Ohio State fair, you must complete QA prior to the start of the State Fair. For 2020, the Ohio Department of Agriculture is allowing us to offer Quality Assurance virtually with our certified instructors. Youth must pre-register in order to attend a specific session. After they are registered, a Zoom link with a password will be sent in order to gain access to the training. Youth will log-in and must participate for the full training to receive credit. This can be done via a computer, tablet or smartphone. Training will last a minimum of one hour. Multiple youth in the same family may participate on the same device (i.e. all sit at the same computer). Live options will be limited to 40 families (based on email address). These will be offered starting in mid – June. More details such as dates, times and how to register will be announced after June 1. You will have to make sure to turn your video on for the Quality Assurance sessions.
We are learning together on how this will work. We still hope to offer in-person trainings prior to the August 1 deadline. restriction on face-to-face meetings is lifted.
You still may can complete the online QA option through YQCA for $12.00 per person. Please send completed your certificate to bruynis.5@osu.edu. Thank you to all those who have sent me your certificate of completion.
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding Quality Assurance.
