G.O.A.L.S.

G.O.A.L.S. is a great method to guide college life. Instead of merely following the wind, G.O.A.L.S. gives you a specific endpoint that you desire to reach. Global Awareness describes a student’s motivation to learn about diversity and differences. To achieve this goal, I will be taking Classics 2220H, a class that goes over Ancient Greek and Rome. In addition, one of the microbiology classes I am taking goes over the history of HIV in Africa, further embodying the Global Awareness aspect of G.O.A.L.S. In addition to Global Awareness, Original Inquiry is an essential part in growing as a college student. To fulfill this requirement, I will be participating in research later in my college career. My area of interest is biochemistry, and I will soon be searching professors to obtain a researching position. For Academic Enrichment, I hope to participate daily and attend class everyday. In addition, I have set a new goal of going to office hours. In Leadership Development, I will attempt to set an example in my everyday life. In addition, I hope to join various clubs and make in impact in those as well. For Service Engagement, I hope to begin volunteering at the Wexner Medical Center when I turn 18. Currently, I volunteer with the Ohio House of Science and Engineering in order to fulfill one of the requirements of my scholarships. Completing these G.O.A.L.S. will guide me throughout my college life and will aid me in making the most out of these four short years.
