Artifacts

My artifact is the Nation Honor Society logo. During assembly at my school, they were announcing the winners of the award. Not very many people were receiving the award at my school and I was surprised to hear my name. I walked across the stage to receive the award from the principal in front of the rest of the school. For me, this signifies all the hard work and dedication I put in to get where I got today. It demonstrates what you can accomplish if you put in the time and focus and really want to achieve something. At my high school in Dallas, not many people received this award, so it was a great honor for me to be one of the 40 or so out of my class to accomplish it. People often doubted me in my class, so for me it was a way to prove them wrong and to demonstrate to myself that I can accomplish anything I set my mind to.
