I am Araba and I am part of The Ohio State University College of Optometry class of 2022. Prior to embarking on this optometric journey, I attained a Master of Public Health (MPH) Degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics with a concentration in Global Health and a BS Degree in Chemistry both from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). I am very enthusiastic about eye care and excited to be finally learning all about it. I look forward to applying public health principles in optometric care with a goal of determining effective ways of providing eye care services in resource-limited environments. Ultimately, I hope to contribute to improving eye and health outcomes across the globe, a girl can dream! I enjoy volunteering and giving back to the community during my free time. Otherwise, I chat about anything and everything with friends, paint as a social event, cook or watch movies.
