A message from the Optometry Ambassador Program
On behalf of the students, faculty and staff, we welcome you to The Ohio State University College of Optometry. To help introduce you to our college, we have created the Optometry Ambassador Program. The goal of our program is to give you an opportunity to experience a typical day in the life of an optometry student at Ohio State. As a guest in our college, you’ll have the chance to interact with current students through class visits, building tours, and/or overnight stays, which will give you an excellent opportunity to discover the “inside scoop” on Ohio State Optometry. As current optometry students, we’re excited to share the pride we have in our college and our experiences with you, and to show you what “Great Vision” is all about. We look forward to meeting you!

At The Ohio State University College of Optometry, we have a friendly atmosphere we’d like to share with you! Whether it’s for a campus visit, one of our campus visit days, or an admissions interview, we look forward to hosting you. We’ve designed the Optometry Ambassador Program to be a unique experience for prospective Ohio State Optometry students. Feel free to select aspects that best match your interests in order to customize your visit:
- Tour the College with an ambassador, to get a better sense of the learning environment.
- Shadow an optometry class: Class visits allow you to get a sense of the curriculum as well as meet and interact with more students and College faculty.
- Get together with a current student for a casual lunch or dinner in one of our nearby campus dining areas. This more informal setting allows you to ask questions and learn about the “real” life of an optometry student.
