Research with real-world impact

Our team of interdisciplinary researchers works to understand reproductive health care access and outcomes in Ohio and beyond. We give health care providers and stakeholders timely and relevant data to help them serve their communities and to inform their approaches to care. We give lawmakers the evidence they need to make decisions about health care policy, ensuring Ohioans can get the health care they deserve.

Opportunities to participate in OPEN research studies

Participation involves a 60-90 minute confidential interview with our team. Why participate? Can I participate? Find out more HERE.

You are invited to participate in a study exploring Ohio patients’ experiences with abortion regulations. We are exploring how pregnant Ohioans are impacted by abortion regulations in various healthcare settings. Who can help? Ohio residents (aged 18-50) who considered terminating a pregnancy after 12-weeks gestation in the last five years. Find out more HERE.

Researchers with Ohio Policy Evaluation Network (OPEN) are interviewing folks in Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia who have had trouble getting an abortion since June 2022. Through the interviews, we hope to better understand the experiences of people seeking abortion in our region after Roe v. Wade was overturned. Find out more HERE.
