Video Presentation Guide

Choose your recording method. This may be done in any video capture software you choose. Some excellent choices are

-PowerPoint Recording is available on your free student version of Office 365. I’ll admit, it doesn’t make the most elegant presentations. However, if you are most familiar with PowerPoint and want to use this, it gets the job done. https://support.office.com/en-ie/article/video-record-presentations-2570dff5-f81c-40bc-b404-e04e95ffab33

-Explain Everything is included on SelfService of the Digital First iPads. It is membership-based but also available for a free trial online.. Explaineverything.com

-All School of Communication students can access a free copy of Adobe Creative Cloud. You should have received an email detailing this access at the beginning of the semester. There are a few options that you may use to record and edit presentations:

Adobe Spark (Links to an external site.)

Adobe Premiere Rush

Adobe Premiere Pro

Screencast-o-matic (Links to an external site.) is another free screencasting program

-If there is another program you prefer- go for it! Please just make sure this is in a file format that can be viewed on any device. If your final product is a .proj file, you will be the only one able to view the file. Let me know if you have any questions or issues.

Make this as professional as you would if you were sending this to an organization or a client. Hit your main points, make the important parts clear, and don’t go into tons of detail if it is not necessary. In a real situation, if they say you have 10 minutes, you only have 10 minutes. The next appointment may be waiting in the lobby and they will kick you out! Same here. Points will be deducted if the presentation is over the time limit.
