About

The annual Ohio Mass Spectrometry Symposium (OMSS) was initiated in 2003 to promote collaboration among regional researchers with interests in mass spectrometry. Now planning for our 21st year, OMSS has become a significant event for academic and industrial researchers in the region to present their findings, share information, discuss research challenges with colleagues, and spark new collaborations in the field of mass spectrometry and its rapidly advancing applications and technologies. OSU’s Campus Chemical Instrumentation Center (CCIC) serves as host for the annual Ohio Mass Spectrometry Symposium, with support from generous sponsors.

FAQ

What happened to the “M” in OMSMS? The Foods for Health Research Initiative hosted an annual Conference on Food and Nutritional Metabolomics in conjunction with OMSS from 2017-2022; the joint meeting became known as the Ohio Mass Spectrometry and Metabolomics Symposium (OMSMS). Though metabolomics remains a key topic, Ohio Mass Spectrometry Symposium now encompasses metabolomics along with other MS applications and technologies that are of interest to our participants.
