About Me

Scholarly Engagement with the Community:

My interest in racial inequality developed during experiences with multiracial churches and corporations. As a result, it is important to me to share my research for application. This book is one such effort.  Multiethnic Conversations provides a mix of theology and sociology to help diversifying congregations talk about issues of race, class, and culture.  I have also shared my research at conferences such as Exponential, Catalyst, and Mosaix.

The Crew: Speaking of conversations, there’s no one I’d rather talk sociology with than my husband Oladele and my daughter Cadence.

All the Rest:

Outside of academia, I am a fan of fancy food and travel.  Favorite past trips include jaunts to South Africa, Peru, and Australia.
