Trello Tech, Notes with One Note & Adobe ~ Learned technology from Class

One of the technologies that I learned from my class is Trello. Trello is a very useful tool for organizing tasks and setting yourself up for success in the semester. An advantage is that you can be very creative on the website. It come with different themes and you can divide tasks based on different avenues such as personal, school, health, fitness, financial etc. One can customize their layout so that it is more appealing for them and will motivate them to use the app and complete their tasks. One disadvantage is that their isn’t much notices for completion of tasks and it would be nice if it was syncable with other devices that I use such as my phone or watch.

Another technology that I used is One note with Microsoft. This technology is used for taking notes and acts just like a notebook. One can draw, add pictures and diagrams to this software while being in a lecture.  An advantage is that during class you can record the audio as you type or use a stylus to create your notes. It can be used to create a to do list and even to plan events. One advantage that I appreciate it is that I can sync my noted with the different devices that I own so that I can access them when I want. A disadvantage is that it is better once bought, the free trial is very inconsistent with its features. Another disadvantage is that it is quite difficult to export your notes.

The last technology that I use is Adobe. I use Adobe for reading pdfs and converting documents from word and vice versa. An advantage is that it is used for downloading and reading lecture notes and it can be used to sign documents. It has features where you can save your initials or draw your signature so that you can input it on documents you might need to sign and send immediately. A disadvantage is that certain features such as editing pdf or converting pdfs are available through buying a subscription. Some colleges offer deals with their students to be able to use the upgraded version.
