Cheerleading- Competitive cheerleading has been a huge part of my life from the age of 5 until just recently coming to college. It has always been the one thing I feel I am truly good at and has been my escape from stress ever since I was younger. Being apart of a cheer gym truly gave me a sense of family and it was amazing to constantly surround myself with those so supportive of your individual success. Being on a team with older girls gave me a huge cushion when going into high school and even college. Being so close with girls who had already experienced everything I was going through gave me so much insight throughout my life and a sense of safety. Even now, I spend time with others who share the same interest with me to remember what it feels like to have that sense of support.

Torres House 4th Floor- Coming to The Ohio State University I had a hard time dealing with the idea that I had to leave all my best friends behind and come to this school knowing absolutely no one. Now, I could not be more thankful for the people I have met here and friendships I have built in such a short amount of time. Living in a scholars house gives me the opportunity to surround myself with those who are so similar to me and share the same goals. The people here are always so kind, willing to help, and supportive of every decision I make. This is the first time I have been apart of a group of people so similar to myself and I have never felt so understood and supported in the path I am on.
