OLÉ Book Club to discuss Olga Dies Dreaming by Xochitl Gonzalez

You are cordially invited to join fellow OLÉ and Ohio State community members as we explore the New York Times-bestselling debut novel Olga Dies Dreaming from Mexican-Nuyorican writer Xochitl Gonzalez. Her anticipated sophomore release Anita de Monte Laughs Last is also set to hit bookstore shelves on March 5th, 2024. Click here for meeting access. OLÉ Welcomes Columbus City Councilmember Lourdes Barroso de Padilla to Ohio State

Join us as we welcome Lourdes Barroso de Padilla, the first Latina councilmember to serve the City of Columbus to Ohio State at our Speaker Series Luncheon! She is a first-generation Cuban American and a Columbus native. In 2022, Lourdes founded Columbus’ first ever Latino Heritage Month Parade and Festival. OLÉ End of academic year luncheon: Communicating to be Understood

Join us for a special luncheon that promises to be an exciting gathering.

Time: 11 am – 1 pm
Where: Thompson Library, Campus Reading Room (1120)

During the luncheon, we will take a look back at the academic year and celebrate all the accomplishments we have achieved together. We will also be joined by Sara Kleon who will lead a workshop on “Communicating to be Understood.” This session will provide us with valuable insights into the art of effective communication, which will help us to better understand each other and work more efficiently together.

The event promises to be a great opportunity to network with colleagues and peers, as well as to learn new skills and strategies for success. Lunch will be served, and we will have ample time for discussion and Q&A with Sara Kleon.

OLÉ Book Club is back!

We have an exciting evening planned to discuss this amazing book, Profound Blue Part 1, with the author, Maria J. Balcells.
