Workforce Development Leader at Joby Aviation
Cody Cleverly is the Workforce Development Lead at Joby Aviation and oversees training
initiatives and programs including Joby Academy, apprenticeships, and learning technology.
He is a commercial pilot and flight instructor and enjoys teaching at Joby’s Flight Academy.
Prior to Joby, Cody held several positions at JetBlue Airways, where he developed and
oversaw programs in talent and learning and ultimately led the airline’s academic learning
function. He continues to hold an advisory role at JetBlue. An entrepreneur at heart, Cody co-founded KC Direct – an e-commerce business – and served as Managing Principal until joining
Joby in 2021. Cody earned both an MBA and an MS in Human Resource Management from
the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University.
