Lynn Fulton is currently Education Specialist for Dual Language Immersion at the Delaware Department of Education. She coordinates and provides support to 60 elementary and middle school immersion programs with a focus on articulated K-12 implementation. She works with administrators and teachers on a regular basis to build their capacity to implement and sustain dual language immersion programs that lead students to high levels of academic achievement and language proficiency and regularly designs and delivers professional learning for language educators in a variety of contexts at multiple levels. Lynn has collaborated with and supported dual language immersion programs across the country including Arizona, Kentucky, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, and Virginia. She is a regular presenter at the International Conference on Dual Language/Immersion Education and collaborates with the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages to provide workshops and program reviews to immersion schools both within the US and abroad. Lynn serves on the steering committee of the National Dual Language Immersion Research Alliance, has published articles about immersion in journals such as The Language Educator and Learning Languages, and is currently completing her doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of Delaware with a focus on building administrator capacity to support dual language immersion programs.
