Ms. Amisha Shah has completed her Vishaarad (Bachelors) in Kathak under Smt. Asha Joglekar, Mumbai after her Vishaarad in Bharat Natyam. She has been teaching Kathak since 2008 in Columbus OH. Amisha has performed at many Kathak festivals in India and also won prizes in Performing Arts student competitions.

Janet Schroeder is a percussive dance artist, scholar, and teacher, with a particular interest in tap dance, Appalachian clogging, and body percussion. She maintains her physical practice of these rhythmic dance forms throughout the U.S. and Mexico, creating and presenting choreography as well as taking and teaching classes. Schroeder’s explorations of rhythm in dance have recently taken her to Mexico, Appalachia, Chicago, New York City, the Berkshires, and France. In Schroeder’s current research she investigates concert dance productions that blend folk and vernacular dances with contemporary dance technique and aesthetics. From 2005-2010 Schroeder toured with music and dance company Rhythm in Shoes. She holds a BFA in musical theatre from Ohio Northern University, an MFA in dance from The College at Brockport, SUNY, and is currently in the doctoral program in dance studies at The Ohio State University.

Ami Majmudar learned her art over a rigorous sixteen-year period from her Guru, Mythili Kumar, artistic director of the Abhinaya Dance Company. After her solo dance debut in 1995, Ami had the opportunity to dance in major roles in company productions, including Gandhi-The Mahatma, The Power of Saturn, and Mayil Adum Azagan. She has continued to refine her art under the guidance of Guru Sujatha Srinivasan, of Shri Kala Mandir in Cleveland.

Ami teaches Bharatnatyam to local students, as director of Anjali Dance. In 2012, Ami staged a performance in Dublin, entitled Tatva: Elements Through Dance. In collaboration with area artists, Ami presented two performances this past season, Kala Sangam and Ekam Dhvanihi. She had also taught a master class at the OhioDance Festival in 2015, and presented performances featuring her and her students at the Asian Festival, the International Festival, and the Ohio Statehouse Summer Series. Ami looks forward to continuing her journey as a dancer, teacher, choreographer, and student through her future endeavors.
