Artifact

This is from my final project in my Introduction to Children’s Literature class. I wrote a paper on how death is presented in children’s literature and how various factors can affect and impact a child’s grieving process. Although I took this class to fulfill a general education requirement, I really enjoyed what I learned and was able to work with my niece and nephew for my presentation for my final project. This is their interpretation of what Heaven looks like, the focus of one of my primary resources for the paper.

G.O.A.L.S.

A lot of my past and future endeavors at Ohio State align with the pillars of G.O.A.L.S. One of my goals during my time here at Ohio State is to go on an international service trip through Buck-i-Serv. I have been on two of their service learning trips before- one in Chicago and one in Louisiana and I really want to expand my horizon and experience another culture through service learning. These experiences are both globally diversifying and show a commitment to service. Additionally, I have worked to gain leadership throughout my involvements on campus such as Mount Leadership Society, BuckeyeThon, and Scarlet and Gray Financial. Next year, my goal is to take on a leadership position in my sorority, Gamma Phi Beta. Lastly, I have spent the past year volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club of Columbus and want to continue that commitment to service next year as well.
