Lumbosacral Orthoses (LSO)
Same as TLSO with lower proximal trimlines
All functions are the same as TLSO, only lower levels of involvement
Custom Rigid LSO:
- For fractures T11-S1
- Covers up to T9 so if pt has a fracture at T11 this will cover that Fracture
Custom Rigis LSO with thigh cuff:
- Used with S1 fractures many times to limit the movement of pelvis
- Will need to state Custom rigid LSO with thigh cuff on right or left and drop lock
Prefab LSO:
- These are used 1-2 level laminectomy/fusion
- Example: L5-S1 laminectomy-these are used now instead of old LS corsets
- We stock these in orhto tech office
- Covers up T9. Used T11-S1
