Teaching Goals
- Inspire students to be the best nurse they can- I want my students to know I am there for them and want them to be successful. I believe it is important to use my experiences to encourage students to be open to all aspects of nursing in order to find their niche.
- Utilize Evidence-Based Practice to enhance the learning process- I have utilized EBP to develop programs and understand the importance of following the evidence to improve processes. I want my students to begin their nursing career knowing how to use EBP and being a change agent.
- Promote critical thinking and clinical reasoning by teaching with problem-based learning- I will use problem-based learning to help my students develop the clinical reasoning skills necessary to be successful in the healthcare environment.
