About Me

My name is Madison Noren, I am a first year Pharmaceutical major in the Mount Leadership Society scholars group. I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio in a Bay Village a suburb right outside of the city. I attended Bay High and graduated in the top 5% with high honors. Throughout high school I was involved in Class Officers being secretary of my class all 4 years, being a member of National Honors Society,  an avid writer for the school newspaper and yearbook, a key club member, a member of NSHSS, and apart of A Capella and Choraleers audition choirs. Outside of school I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to intern at 3 renowned institutions in Cleveland. I interned at the Cleveland Museum of Art in their teen coop program, at the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center in their Youth 360 group, along with being nominated as the student intern for the Board of Trustees at Youth Challenge. At these internships I was able to gain new insight on planning, creating, and overall life as a young adult. All of these internships opened the doors to volunteering at these institutions. At the Cleveland Museum of Art I was able to become a teachers assistant to the toddler art classes all summer along. Similarly at Youth Challenge I became a volunteer working with children with disabilities creating art, playing games, and playing recreational sports which led to me taking on the position as secretary on the Volunteer Committee Board. The leadership skills I learned from these amazing opportunities allowed me to grow as a young adult into this journey at Ohio State. One of the many reasons I chose Ohio State being the volunteer opportunities and leadership positions offered at this diverse campus, I was even able to experience this before school began at the Leadership Collaborative for incoming freshmen. I am excited to start my new journey at Ohio State as a leader, as a learner, and most importantly as an adult.
