Hello, my name is Cara Nix and I am an ABD (all but dissertation) PhD candidate at The Ohio State University planning to graduate Spring 2024. My sub fields are Methodology and American Politics. I also am working towards a M.S. in Computer Science and an interdisciplinary specialization in Quantitative Research Methods.
My research interests lie at the intersection of computer science and political science. For example, I have experience with natural language processing, network science, computer vision, machine learning, and data visualization. My research is centered around using innovative applications of methodology to study different forms of representation.
I am also a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow.
