Yixin(James) Chen is a graduate researcher at the AI4Path Lab, where he works under the supervision of Dr. Khalid Niazi to advance deep learning applications in computational pathology and biomedical imaging. With a background in computer science, he holds a Master’s degree from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley. His academic and research experiences span computer vision, medical image segmentation, and multimodal data integration, with a growing focus on applying AI to real-world healthcare challenges. At the AI4Path Lab, Yixin conducts research at the intersection of deep learning and computational pathology, with a focus on advancing AI methods for biomedical image analysis. His interests include medical image segmentation, multimodal learning, and the development of interpretable models that can support clinical understanding and decision-making. With a background in computer vision and cross-domain applications, Yixin is dedicated to creating practical AI tools that contribute to the broader goals of precision medicine and digital pathology.
