Dr. Niazi is a dedicated researcher and educator who currently serves as an Associate Professor of Pathology at The Ohio State University (OSU). He is the Principal Investigator (PI) of the Computational Pathology Lab, where he leads innovative research at the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and medicine. Dr. Niazi’s expertise lies in leveraging AI to address complex challenges in pathology and related medical fields, including oncology, urology, nephrology, and radiology. His work focuses on developing customized AI-driven solutions to advance both clinical and research applications.
In addition to his role in the Department of Pathology, Dr. Niazi is affiliated with the OSU Comprehensive Cancer Center, a leading institution dedicated to cancer research and treatment. He is also actively involved with the Graduate School in Biomedical Engineering and the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program, where he mentors graduate students pursuing advanced degrees. Students interested in joining his team will be admitted through one of these programs to work under his guidance and contribute to cutting-edge research in computational pathology and AI.
Prior to joining OSU, Dr. Niazi was associated with the Center for Artificial Intelligence Research at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, where he further honed his skills in applying AI to medical challenges. His extensive experience and interdisciplinary approach make him a valuable resource for collaborative projects.
